Who We Are...

Sound Community Services, Inc. (SCSI) is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating and assisting individuals with behavioral health needs to achieve independence and integrate into the larger community.  Its current multi-program approach offers employment, social rehabilitation, community support, supportive housing, residential, clinical, and psychiatric services.

SCSI has successfully implemented a workforce and service-delivery system that emphasizes productivity and accountability standards.  In preparation for Connecticut’s inevitable implementation of reimbursement for case management services under the Medicaid Rehabilitation Option (MRO), SCSI has implemented this model of service provision and has continued to utilize best-practices in the field and new technology to achieve a fully functional and billable-ready system.   

SCSI continues to leverage the CareLogic electronic clinical record to assist in all facets of service delivery and administrative functioning.  In addition to increased collaboration among treatment providers, billing benefits, real-time data reporting, and significant operational and service benefits, 2010 welcomed the diagnostically driven electronic treatment plan, intake assessment and reassessment processes.  The implementation of concurrent documentation, while utilized in most community-based programs, was successfully launched this year in the outpatient clinics.
