Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Connecticut license is required. Provide medication management for dually diagnosed adults in a multidisciplinary team environment. Sound Community Services (SCSI) is a progressive community mental health center with an onsite partial hospitalization program located in an exquisite area along the Thames River in downtown New London, Connecticut.
Work a 40 hour week Monday – Friday; no weekends, holidays or on-call; flextime is available. Bi-lingual is helpful. SCSI offers excellent salary and benefits. Faculty appointment at UCONN or Yale is possible for qualified, interested candidates.
Service Coordinator I
Work as part of a team to provide a high level of client support to consumers with psychiatric disabilities. Duties include crisis intervention, linkage to clinical and community resources, monitoring progress, developing service plans and documenting contacts. Determine, plan and provide a complete network of aftercare services for individuals to make a successful transition to independent living in the community.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree and 2 years experience in Human Services. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills required. Competent user of technology and/or electronic documentation. 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Homeless Outreach Specialist
Responsible for all aspects of street outreach and engagement of homeless consumers with mental illness or co-occurring disorders. Actively engage consumers in the recovery process and provide individualized cultural sensitive, extensive case management supports. Position is 32 hours/week, flexible schedule Monday through Friday.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years experience in human services. Demonstrated understanding of mental illness, co-occurring disorders and homelessness. Knowledge of evidence based recovery practices including outreach and engagement, motivational interventions and rapid job search.
Mental Health Worker
New London: Full-time 2nd shift position 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM Tuesday through Saturday and per diem positions for all shifts
Residential Mental Health Workers provide direct oversight and support services, both psychological and social, to chronically mentally disabled clients who are making the transition from institutional care to an independent living setting in accordance with a treatment plan. Assist persons served in learning the skills of daily living. Provide instruction in social skills; monitor medications and behaviors of clients; maintain accurate records; provide support, motivation and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
Associates Degree or 60 credits in related field and one (1) year experience in Human Resources. Excellent communication, organizational and documentation skills required. Bi-lingual helpful.
