During the course of my employment at a law firm, I found a soft spot for the non-profits we represented. The deeper level of value and purpose I felt representing these agencies, and the ability to fight for something I believed in, led me to Sound Community Services. The culture, community, and people I work with are the most rewarding part of my job.”

Originally from East Lyme, Krista Strazza joined our team in November 2015 as the Director of Quality Management & Corporate Compliance Officer. A graduate of UCONN and Emmanuel College, Krista brings an abundance of experience as seen through her notable work history, including CT HFMA Member Board of Directors, TCORS, where she assisted individuals and/or companies in the licensure processes, and Medicaid Audit & Compliance Services, where she performed mock compliance audits for healthcare providers and facilitated mitigation of financial disallowances. Krista is passionate and committed to social services, as she also contributes to many other local agencies, committees, and programs in her spare time. By focusing on peoples’ strengths and not penalizing them for their mistakes, Krista plays a significant role in building action plans that lead to the overall success of quality and compliance within our agency.

“In my down time, I enjoy spending time with my family and twin boys whom I adore, and spending time on or near the water. I’m very adventurous yet driven by my compassion to nurture growth and development, as I enjoy time visiting and connecting with the people in our residential programs. I am excited to return to one of our programs soon to make Eggplant Parmesan when it is ready to be picked from the garden.”
