tony-obuekwe-headshot-blog“I believe the securement of the entire survival of the agency is through effective and efficient management of our fiscal department. I recognize we must be frugal with spending, as well as, open and flexible to changing fiscal constraints and challenges, due to funding requirements. I take pride in my position in order to facilitate a high quality of behavioral heath services, awareness, outreach, and programs to meet the needs of those we serve. I am committed to the overall wellness of our agency, services, and community, and aim to secure its longevity through outstanding fiscal management practices.”

Tony Obuekwe joined our agency in the beginning of 2014, as the Senior Finance Director and is dedicated to our agency’s overall fiscal affluence. With an MBA of Finance from Southern Connecticut State University, and an Undergrad in Accounting from the University of New Haven, Tony secures fiscal expertise to the overall survival of our agency.

Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Tony immigrated to the Untied States at the age of 18, has traveled all over the world, and brings value through his commitment to cultural heritage. Tony is the gatekeeper to all things fiscal, but more importantly is a fiscal guy that understands programs and people, which is the uniqueness he brings to our agency. With a successful management style that embodies compassion and commitment to his team, and is directly influenced by keeping the importance of services at his core focus, Tony is driven by the significant impact his position has on his team, those served, and the community.

“I enjoy yard work, being outdoors, and quality time spent with my children and family. Also, I am very passionate about my socks as they are an outlet for me to express my mood. My favorite music genre is British pop, and my favorite place in the world is Paris, for its beauty, character, and artistic values are priceless.”
